Maryland Real Estate Services in the Covid-19 Era
Tuesday, April 21, 2020
Governor Larry Hogan's order provided that commercial and residential real estate services are considered essential, so Realtors can continue to conduct business.
The Maryland Realtors' guidance states that Realtors should limit personal interactions to the greatest extent possible. If they engage in in-person interactions, these protocols should be followed:
- In-person activities must be by appointment only.
- A maximum of three people, including the Realtor, can be at a property at one time.
- Individuals at appointments must follow the CDC's physical distancing guidelines by remaining at least six feet apart.
Some of the acceptable activities for in-person meetings include listing presentations, showing properties, taking property photos, and conducting contract signings, inspections and buyer walk-throughs.
